This event is open to all employees on Alectra payroll. To confirm if you are eligible,
please speak to your People Leader.

I have a dietary restriction. How can I be accommodated?

Employees with dietary restrictions must register before June 2 to allow the venue to order the appropriate number of special meals. These meals will be limited in number. If you don’t pre-register, we will not be able to accommodate your dietary restriction. At the event, please visit the registration desk by the main entrance where you will receive a dietary restriction card to provide to wait staff.

Is this a mandatory event?

While this event is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged for everyone to attend. A small number of staff will be required to stay back to ensure business continuity and will receive the materials from the day from their leaders after the event. Employees who are not selected to stay back and are not attending the event are expected to work either remotely or at their workplace, unless they are ill or taking approved vacation.

Is there parking at the venue?

Parking is limited at the venue, please carpool where possible.

Is seating assigned?

Tables will be open seating and based on a first-come, first-served basis.

Am I allowed to claim mileage for this event?

Yes, you will be able to claim mileage to the event and submit to your supervisor for
departmental approval.

My workday ends at 3 p.m. If I stay later than 3 p.m. at the event, does it count as
overtime?

Employees will not be required to return to the workplace after the event. If you are required to return to the workplace for shiftwork, your people leader will make arrangements with you directly. If you choose to stay beyond 3 pm, it will not be considered overtime.

I live far away. Do I have to arrive for 8:30?

Arriving safely should be your top priority. The event starts at 8:30 a.m. for registration, breakfast, and interactive booths. Please allow enough travel time to arrive by 9 a.m., as breakfast will end at 9:30 a.m.

Is this a scent-free event?

While we maintain a scent-free policy in our facilities, this is an external event and venue. We cannot guarantee this will be a scent-free event.
